Baxter sixth in Holland

Aviemore skier Alain Baxter finished eleventh and sixth as he opened his winter 2007 European campaign on the indoor slope at Landgraaf in Holland.
A blistering second run - fourth fastest overall - resulted in eleventh place out of 109 competitors from 22 nations, 0.37s behind the winner in the opening slalom. Dougie Crawford of Glasgow was one of 22 retirements, failing to finish his second run.
Baxter then joined the top 30 in the Europa Cup run-off and finished sixth on the single run, just 0.42s behind winner Christof Innerhofer of Italy.
