Impressive 20th placing as ELLIE takes part in her debut FIS WORLD CUP races - Are Sweden March 2008

Racing against the best female moguls skiers that the world has to offer, Ellie took to the FIS World Cup  stage with the intelligent focus and maturity that she is becoming recognised for. Nothing seems to faze her and she displayed great composure  with a confident performance finishing in 24th place in her first WC race and then 20th place  in  the penultimate FIS World Cup of the season in Are, Sweden . She continues to deliver inspiring results - this season has seen her on the podium twice, qualifying in 5th place at FIS Noram, making the finals at the USSA Selections and now settling in on the World Cup arena with excellent results.

This is the first time in a number of years that Great Britain has has a female World Cup athlete and her coaches were delighted with her performance and ability to handle herself racing againt World Champions, Olympians and a field where the average age of competitors is 25 . Currently in Germany for the British Moguls Championships, Ellie will celebrate her 17th birthday sat on a plane  back to the USA in order to take part in the FIS USSA Nationals  at the end of  March.

This will mark the end of a hectic season that has seen her on the competitive circuit since November 07 travelling extensively throughout Canada, the USA and Europe.  She plans a little 'down time' to relax in early April and then embarks on the most ambitious dry land programme yet taking in snow training camps in the USA, Canada and Chile over the next nine months.

Her team have devised their intense pioneering programme with their sights fully set on the 2009  World Cup season which sees the first opportunity to qualify for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
