Masters ski racing is for both males and females 30 years old and over. There is no maximum age - we keep going until the 'Ultima Salita'. Different races have a number of age categories within this range (5 year groupings) to make the racing realistic and competitive.
FIS has stated that there are 55,000 Masters racers registered for competition worldwide but this includes the Cross Country racers as well. The racing is just as competitive as in the younger age groups but it is more relaxed and fun.
